FAQ
What is your approach to photographing weddings?
Have you ever been to a wedding where the ceremony ended and then you didn't see the happy couple again until, like, the send off? We don't want to steal you away from the biggest party of your life -- we want you to have the absolute time of your life! This is why our style doesn't rely very heavily on those stressful family portrait sessions where you have to smile through an hour of wrangling relatives and curbing family feuds. If you are wanting some of those big family pictures, we are happy to oblige, but know that it can definitely eat up a lot of time... and sometimes joy. We prefer the more documentary approach, where your focus is solely on the amazing party you planned for months and the bright future ahead for you and your new life partner, while we blend into the background and capture the realest version of your big day. We want you to relax and have fun. This means we want to meet with you ahead of time so we can hash out timelines, important details, and your expectations. Show us your colors, show us the aesthetic you're going for, tell us about the people who are important to you, and share with us a little about your love story. These connections are what will help us provide you with the truest version of your wedding.
Where are you based? Do you travel?
We're based out of the Tulsa area. We'd love to travel, but our scheduling doesn't always allow for it. Reach out to us with a message, and we'll see what we can do!
When will we get our photos?
Weddings - You will receive an online gallery link with all of your photos 6-8 weeks from the time of your event. And we always provide a few sneak peeks within the first few days!
Portraits and Lifestyle - You will receive an online gallery link with all of your photos 2-4 weeks from the time of your shoot.
Can I have the raw files from my wedding or lifestyle session?
Unfortunately no, and there will be no exceptions. Photography is an art, and we don't hand over an unfinished canvas.
For portraits/family sessions: What should I wear?
This all depends on the look you're going for, but attire has a massive impact on the overall look of your session! We will always always always suggest going with soft neutrals, especially if you're not entirely sure which direction you want to go. Try to avoid loud, busy, high-contrast prints, especially if multiple people are involved. And don't worry about matching your spouse, kids, etc...the name of the game is "coordination." This means finding a color palette (Pinterest is such a great resource!) and dressing everyone in those tones. Everyone always looks great if the fabrics are a similar style as well. If you're feeling a little unsure on what will look best, definitely reach out to us, we are happy to provide some recommendations!
